De Valge icelandic horses
Our Icelandic horses - Overview

We have (only) 18 Icelandic horses, 13 mares , three geldings and two young stallions. The horses come from Iceland, Germany, Holland,  Sweden, Denmark and Austria. Seven of the horses have the special and rare silver dapple colour! The silver varieties are black silver dapple, bay silver dapple, smokey silverdapple, smokey silver dapple splash and blue dun silver dapple. Other colours are palomino, blue dun, yellow dun, blue dun pinto, red dun, smokey  and black.  The herd is very colourful and mostly of very good pedigree, a mixture of 4 and 5 gaited horses. We believe in preserving the very special colours of the icelandic horse and therefore purchase and breed with this objective in mind. Quality of gaits and character are primary requirements, but a distinctive colour is high on the wish list too. It is fun to breed or find the quality combined with the colour. May be that's the biggest kick of all, and as a result our herd comes from various countries because we do not mind the extra effort to get those horses in the herd!

Below is a quick overview of our horses. You can find more pictures and information about the horses by  clicking  on their picture
